Shift is approximately 6 a.m-2 p.m Tuesday-Saturday(depending on skill set)
Additional work may be needed around holidays and busy seasons.
AT LEAST ONE YEAR experience in a professional bakery setting preferred-this position is very different from home/hobby baking. Serious candidates only, please. We are looking for a candidate who can "hit the floor running" in pastry and cake production!

Job duties include:

Experience icing and decorating cakes & cookies with creativity and ease. Wedding cake decorating a plus! Ability to write on cakes in cursive ideal.
Decorating large quantities of sugar cookies in a timely manner. Must have artistic, creative, and fun skills!
Familiarity decorating with chocolate, gel, buttercream icing and whipped cream icing
Experience using commercial baking mixers, scales, ovens, and other bakery equipment
Working well in a fast paced, busy production environment (on your feet for long periods, in and out of walk in freezers & coolers, pushing, pulling, some heavy lifting)
Adaptable to different skill sets depending on seasons and high production demands
Eagerness to learn traditional baking and pastry techniques and ability to take direction and work independently as well as on a team
Stay clean, organized and on task during your shift

EARLY MORNING HOURS!!! 2 A.M- 10 A.M
Duties include but not limited to:
Organizing daily orders/invoices and filling large quantity wholesale bread, breakfast pastry, and refrigerated dessert orders in delivery boxes. Consolidating leftover bread and breakfast pastries on racks and cleaning up your packing area before leaving for delivery
Loading company truck with orders in a timely manner!- Many accounts expect product in the early morning hours so time management is very important!
Slicing, bagging, labeling, & packing wholesale bread upon returning from your route
This job is very physical! It includes lots of heavy lifting, pushing, pulling heavy racks, being in and out of walk-in freezers and coolers
Candidate is expected to have a clean, neat appearance and to keep their work vehicle and work areas clean and organized

Applicant must be able to:

Start shift approximately 6 pm-2 am (or later as needed during busy times)
Learn to operate a dough divider and hand shape dough on the bench in a variety of shapes to prepare for proofing and baking
Work well on a team and independently
Take directions quickly as dough and oven readiness can vary during shift
Be able to stand for long periods in one spot, bend, and lift heavy ingredients and equipment throughout your shift- you will be working in and out of walk-in freezers and coolers. This job is very physical!
Work with a sense of urgency- dough can be unpredictable depending on climate and temperature and won't wait!
Make delicious, award winning breads and pastries with a great team!
